Who We Help
Your council or certifier has asked for an environmental report before your development application can proceed.
You need contamination and soil questions resolved before subdivision, rezoning or construction begins.
Your site has a manufacturing, storage, fuel or trade history that needs to be assessed or managed.
Past chemical use, cattle dips or acid sulfate soils need to be understood before the land changes hands or use.
You require independent assessment, validation or compliance reporting on public land and infrastructure.
You need field sampling, laboratory testing or overflow capacity to meet a program deadline.
Problems We Solve
Our team will tell you what your council or certifier is actually asking for, at no cost.

Establishing what has happened on your site and whether it affects your project, your approval or your purchase decision.

Planning and proving the clean-up, so the site can be signed off and built on.

Classifying material before it moves, so it can be reused or disposed of correctly.

Assessing and monitoring groundwater and surface water where it affects your site or approval.

Identifying and managing asbestos and hazardous materials found in soil or structures.

The plans and reporting that keep a site compliant while work is underway.

Commercial & Industrial
On commercial and industrial property, environmental risk is a commercial number. Early investigation shows whether contamination is present and what remediation is likely to involve, so you have something to price, negotiate or plan around instead of an unknown.

Lab Access via IdealCorp
The IdealCorp Advantage
Environmental, geotechnical, laboratory and foundation capabilities sit inside the same group, so fieldwork is coordinated and advice accounts for what happens after the report is issued.
One point of contact across environmental and geotechnical scopes.
Environmental and geotechnical sampling completed in the same visit where possible.
Rigs and crews we control, so mobilisation is not held up by subcontractors.
Access to a NATA-accredited soil testing laboratory through IdealCorp. Accreditation applies to specified test methods, confirmed per project.
Advice written for the decision you need to make, not just the technical record.
From first investigation through remediation, validation and ongoing compliance.
How It Works
Address, what you are planning and anything the council has sent you.
Site history, mapping and the regulatory trigger behind the request.
A defined scope, a price and an indicative program you can plan around.
Our crews sample the site and samples go to the laboratory.
Findings in plain language, with the practical options set out.
Remediation, validation or regulatory sign-off support where required.
Client Feedback
Example content★★★★★
Council asked for a preliminary site investigation two weeks before our DA deadline. The team scoped it the same day and explained what the report actually meant for our approval. We lodged on time.
Example content★★★★★
We hit asbestos in fill part-way through bulk earthworks. They had someone on site the next morning and gave us a management pathway that kept the program moving instead of shutting it down.
Example contentThe waste classification was done before we booked any trucks, so most of the material was reused on site rather than going to landfill. Straightforward advice and a report our certifier accepted without queries.

Project Experience

Historical market gardens meant council required contamination resolved before subdivision certificates could issue. Assessment confirmed the site suitable for residential use.

A purchaser needed fuel-related contamination and likely remediation cost understood before settlement. Findings supported their price negotiation.

Low-lying farmland with a history of chemical use and mapped acid sulfate soils, proposed for a change of land use. Cleared for the proposed use with a management plan for earthworks.

It depends on your site history and what the council or certifier has asked for. Most projects start with a Preliminary Site Investigation. Send us the request letter and your site address and we will tell you what is required.
A Preliminary Site Investigation reviews the history of the site and identifies areas of potential concern. A Detailed Site Investigation involves sampling soil, water or vapour and laboratory testing to confirm whether contamination is present and at what level.
Before you buy, sell, finance or redevelop a site with an industrial, commercial or agricultural history. Early advice identifies liabilities and likely remediation costs while you can still act on them.
Timing depends on the scope, site access and laboratory turnaround. We confirm an indicative program with your quote so you can plan around it.
We explain what was found, what it means for your project and the options available. That may involve a Remediation Action Plan, targeted removal and validation, or a management plan that allows the site to be used safely.
Virgin Excavated Natural Material and Excavated Natural Material are classifications that determine whether soil can be reused or must be disposed of as waste. Correct classification before material leaves site avoids unnecessary disposal cost and compliance risk.
Typically where a site is mapped as having a probability of acid sulfate soils, usually low-lying coastal and estuarine land, and works will disturb soil below a trigger depth. Council mapping and your proposed excavation depth determine whether it applies.
Yes. We regularly prepare reporting for development applications and respond to council and certifier requests. Send us the correspondence and we will address what has been asked.
Yes. We prepare Remediation Action Plans, supervise remediation works and complete validation reporting so the site can be signed off.
